Levels and prestige
Everything you do gives XP: killing mobs, finishing quests, mining. Each level raises your stat caps, so a level 30 character survives fights that kill a level 5 one.

The ceiling is level 300. Reaching it is not the end: prestige resets your level back to 1 and lets you climb again, keeping a permanent mark that you did it. There are three prestiges. Your total XP never resets — that is what the XP leaderboard ranks.

There is no passive healing. Food, potions and perks are the only way back up after a bad fight, which is why the economy matters from the first day.

Parties
Up to eight players. XP from kills is shared, so grouping up is faster than playing alone — a live panel shows each member's health, ping and distance, and party chat keeps its own history.

Several achievements only exist for parties, and some of them need a full group.

Aetheryte
The currency. Every kill and every level pays out. Spend it in the store on 25 perks and 22 items, bank it, or send it to another player standing within 25 blocks.

How much everyone is carrying is public: see the Aetheryte leaderboard.

Quests
45 jobs, three on the go at once. A quest counts from the moment you take it, not from what you already had — so a veteran starting a quest is level with a newcomer starting the same one.

Every quest can be earned again. Repeats are counted, and your profile shows how many times you finished each one — and, from the day we started recording, when.

Achievements
265 of them, across 15 categories. Most count something you were doing anyway — kills, blocks, distance — and your profile shows how far along you are on the ones you have not finished. Clearing a whole category gives a mastery award.
