Votifier Setup

Configuring Votifier on a Hytale server can encourage players to vote for your server on our Hytale server list, improving your server's ranking and attracting more players. The steps below outline how to install and configure the Votifier plugin:

1. Prerequisites

• Make sure you have a running Hytale server.
• Register your server on our Hytale server list: Register your server.
• Ensure you have administrative access to the server files and directories.

2. Download Votifier

• Download HyVotifier or any Votifier v1 or v2 compatible plugin.

3. Install Votifier

• Move the downloaded hytale-votifier.jar file into your server's mods/ directory.
• Restart your Hytale server either by using the restart command in the console or by stopping and starting the server again.

4. Configure Votifier on Your Server

• After restarting, a new folder named HSL_Votifier will appear in the mods/ directory.
• Navigate to the Votifier folder and open the config.json file.
• In config.json, set the port to match your Votifier port (default is 8192).
• Make sure the Votifier port is open for TCP connections.
• For Votifier V2, add an entry for Hytale-Servers.net in the Tokens section of config.json and set a unique token.

  Our website name is "Hytale-Servers.net" and "exampleToken" must be changed to a unique token.

5. Configure Votifier on Our Server List

• Use the edit option to update your server information on our website.
• In the Vote Service, select Votifier (V1) or Votifier (V2) based on your Votifier configuration.
• In the Votifier port, provide the port number configured in the previous step.
• If you have selected Votifier (V1), provide your Votifier public key from /rsa/public.key file.
• If you have selected Votifier (V2), provide the token associated with our website from config.json file.

6. Test Votifier

• Use our "Test Vote" tool to ensure that Votifier is working correctly.
• If everything is set up correctly, players should now receive rewards when they vote for your server.
